Health Insurance

MHA offers a choice of three comprehensive health plans to all employees who work an assigned schedule of 30 or more hours per week. Coverage begins following a 30 day waiting period from the date of hire. We offer individual, employee plus one and family coverage and include domestic partners. MHA pays 64% of the cost of the mid-range plan for individual coverage and 56% of the cost of the mid-range plan for plus one and family coverage.

Dental Insurance

MHA offers comprehensive dental coverage to all employees who work an assigned schedule of 30 or more hours per week. Coverage begins following a 30 day waiting period from the date of hire. Coverage is available on both an individual and family basis, and MHA pays around 60% of the cost.

Retirement Savings Plan

A 403(b) retirement plan is available upon hire for all employees. After 1000 hours of service employees are eligible for an employer match which is determined annually.

Flexible Savings Plans

MHA offers Flexible Savings Plans for both Medical and Dependent Care expenses. These allow you to set aside money on a pre-tax basis, from which you are reimbursed for qualified expenses.

Long Term Disability

MHA offers long term disability insurance for all full time (35 hours or more) employees. The plan provides a monthly income benefit of up to 60% of monthly salary if an employee becomes disabled. Employees are eligible to participate 30 days following their full time date of hire. MHA pays 100% of the premium for this insurance.

Life Insurance

Full time employees are eligible to participate in MHA’s Life Insurance Program 30 days following their date of hire. Life insurance coverage equals the employee’s annual salary up to $100,000. MHA pays 100% of the premium for life insurance.

Supplemental Voluntary Insurance

Employees may purchase Short Term Disability, Accident and other supplemental insurance through Colonial Insurance.

Education Assistance

MHA offers awards to assist eligible employees with expenses associated with attending college. Awards are granted annually and are dependent on the availability of funds.

Paid Time Off (PTO)

PTO is accrued on a monthly basis. Full-time employees accrue 16.5 hours per month, and PTO rates are increased following the 3, 5 and 10 year anniversaries. Part-time employees who work 30 hours per week accrue PTO on a pro-rated basis.

Sick Time

Sick Time is accrued at .0334 hours per hour worked.  Each status (FT, PTR, PT, and Relief) has an annual cap, maximums and cover-over rules.

Other Benefits

Weekly Payroll

Employee payroll checks are deposited directly into their bank accounts on a weekly basis.

Computer Reimbursement

MHA offers 10% reimbursement of the total purchase price of a computer, laptop, tablet, monitor and/or printer. The maximum reimbursement is $150. All employees who have completed 6 months of employment and have worked an average of 16 hours per week in the past 6 months are eligible to participate.

First Time Homebuyers Grant

MHA provides financial assistance to employees to be used for costs associated with the purchase of a first home.
