Health Insurance: 

Two Tufts plans for Massachusetts residents: 

  • HMO 5000 deductible plan (HRA covers first half of deductible)
  • HMO 3000 Saver.

 PPO 5000 deductible plan for non-Massachusetts residents. The first half of that deductible is also covered.

Dental and Vision Insurance:

Dental and Vision plan through Guardian.

Flexible Spending Account:

Employees can elect an amount up to $2750 per benefit year of pretax money to pay for out of pocket medical expenses. Up to $500 rolls over to the following benefit year.

Dependent Care Account:

Employees can elect an amount of up to $5000 per benefit year of pretax money to be used to childcare expenses or expenses to care for a dependent. 

Short Term Disability:

Available to employees who work 30 hours a week or more. Short term disability and other benefits are available through Colonial Life.

Life Insurance and Long-term Disability:

All employees who work at least 35 hours are enrolled. Life insurance is equal to one year’s salary. There are reductions for employees over the age of 65 of 50% and age 70 of 15%. Life insurance and long term disability is provided through Lincoln Financial Group.

403B:

Retirement plan available to all employees. An employer match of 3% goes into effect after a designated amount of hours worked.

EAP:

Voluntary program that offers free assessments, counseling, and referrals to any employee who may be struggling with personal or work related problems.

First Time Home Buyers Grant:

Grant available for first time home buyers that is worth up to $500.

Computer Reimbursement:

10% up to $150.

Paid Time Off:

Employees who work at least 30 hours per week accrue paid time off on the first day of every month. Paid time off accrual varies based on the number of hours worked.

Sick Time:

Available to all employees at a rate of .0334 hours for each hour worked. Employees earn the benefit weekly based on the number of hours worked that week.

PILOT Program:

Available to employees who work at least 30 hours per week. Employees who have been accruing paid time off for at least 6 consecutive months can “cash in” some of their accumulated time as long as the employee retains a balance of at least 40 hours. 

Discounted Auto and Homeowners Insurance:

Discounts on Auto insurance and homeowners insurance are available through Liberty mutual and can be a payroll deduction.

Service Awards:

  • Yearly Longevity Awards: Employees are recognized for their yearly commitment to MHA
  • Core Values Awards: Employees can nominate other employees who they feel embody MHA’s core values of respect, integrity and compassion to receive a core value award. 
  • You Matter Award: Similar to the Core Value Awards, employees can nominate one another for a You Matter Award. Nominations can be submitted via the MHA website and can be for any positive action or impact that employee has made.
